Crater Hunter is one of the missions that can be found in the upcoming sci-fi title Intergalactic Expedition by ImaginEpic.
About This Project
This video game is designed to be both educational and fun, and to get kids interested in learning about outer space and its exploration. Players can explore the moon’s surface in a lunar rover vehicle designed to provide the ultimate off-road experience. Crater Hunter challenges players to complete the mission by collecting a number of crystal formations while discovering as many of the craters scattered across the moon’s surface as they can. On the way, you can also collect coins that can be spent on upgrading your vehicle or purchasing other supplies.
This video is a quick gameplay demo of Crater Hunter and provides a run through of a mission. The footage is a recording of the iPad mobile game. It uses the touchpad and accelerometer to provide an interface with the user.
Crater Hunter is created with the Unity engine and is currently at a prototype stage. As lead developer and programmer, I was responsible for overseeing the game’s creation, managing resources and budget, and creating the development schedule. I led a team of two other artists that were responsible for providing supplementary graphics and models.
As the lead programmer, I was responsible for:
